Chromatography Services Laboratory
|
![]() |
The Chromatography Services Laboratory offers a number of Gas Liquid Chromatographs and High Performance Liquid Chromatographs to suit semi-preparative or analytical separation of chemical compounds. The chromatographic runs are performed by the research analyst with the assistance of the lab manager, Mr Victor De Guzman, who can provide advice on instrument operation, hands-on training and safety.
This service is provided to the School of Chemistry, Centre for Green Chemistry, other Monash Faculties and external commercial clients. Charges for chromatographic analysis are negotiated on an individual basis. Priority access is given to research staff and post-graduate students during school terms. The facility provides generic columns for routine analytical applications however, in some cases, specialized columns for non-routine chromatographic applications need to be supplied by the analyst.
