Sergei Kazarian

Sergei Kazarian

Sergei Kazarian is Professor of Physical Chemistry and Director of Postgraduate Studies at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Imperial College London. Professor Kazarian is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. After obtaining his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Academy of Sciences in Moscow in 1987, he held research positions in the UK and the USA. He joined Imperial College London in 1998. His research encompasses the fields of vibrational spectroscopy, supercritical fluids, intermolecular interactions and materials. A large part of his current research focuses on the applications of spectroscopic imaging to materials, biomedical samples and pharmaceuticals.
