Research Area

During the course of 6 months (1st semester 2007) I will be applying FTIR imaging and FTIR synchrotron spectroscopy to determine the developmental competence of oocytes.  Four types of oocytes, each at different stages of maturation as well as in vitro and in vivo culture conditions, will be investigated.  Ultimately, the goal is to determine the molecular markers that characterise oocyte competence.
