My company Korn Technologies is involed in the research and development of the production of value added polymers by plant cells. IR spectroscopy hopefully will be able to assist in the detection and further analysis of the synthesis in planta of polyhydroxybutyrate and polyhydroxy alkanoate , two examples of well studied biodegradable polymers.
