Research Area
Applying mid-infrared and Raman spectroscopy, together with chemometrics data analysis, for biotechnological applications. In particularly, the coupling of flow analysis techniques, such as Sequential Injection
Analysis (SIA), for the on-line quantitative monitoring of fermentations such as Poly (B-hydroxybutyrate)
(PHB) and acetone-butanol-ethanol (ABE), with the aim of applying these techniques to other fermentations
and industrial processes.
