Jenny Pringle
SummaryJenny received a BSc(Hons) (1st Class) in Chemistry with Industrial Experience in 1998 at The University of Edinburgh (Scotland). She stayed at Edinburgh to complete her PhD in 2001, focusing on ionic liquids for a range of synthetic and electrochemical applications. She took up her Research Fellow position in the School of Chemistry at Monash back in 2002, developing and analyzing new types of ionic liquids. She moved to the Department of Materials Engineering in 2004, focussing on the synthesis of conducting polymers in ionic liquids. Jenny is a current holder of the ARC Queen Elizabeth II Fellowship (QEII) (as of 2008), where her research area is focussed around ionic liquids and conducting polymers for dye-sensitised solar cell applications.
