Summary

Orawan completed her PhD in Chemistry (2006) at the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI), University of Wollongong, under the supervision of Dr. Simon E. Moulton and Prof. Gordon G. Wallace. Her thesis was based on the characterisation and application of inherently conducting polymer nanoparticles, in which these ICP nanoparticles have been applied to biosensors and electrochromic devices. Presently, Orawan is working on developing gel-ionic liquid (IL) electrolyte for dye sensitised solar cells (DSSCs) at Monash, expected to solve instability issues that are problematic in conventional liquid electrolyte systems.

Research Interests

  1. Synthesis and Characterization of Gel-Ionic Liquid Electrolytes
  2. Conducting Polymer Nanoparticles
  3. Dye-Sensitised Solar Cells
