Advanced Wound Healing

A joint CSIRO-Monash PhD research project (synthetic organic chemistry) is being offered in the field of advanced wound healing solutions. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team to undertake synthesis of novel reactive compounds to act as indicators of changes in wound condition and to incorporate these in fibrous polymeric materials for use in wound management. The project will require interaction with a market leader in advanced wound products in addition to clinicians in the field. A scholarship is offered to the successful candidate, at a level equal or greater than the current APA ($20-30K) in addition to other benefits (including conference travel). The successful student will be located at CSIRO’s Clayton campus, which is adjacent to Monash University and the School of Chemistry.
